Born 1931 in Santa Ana, CA. Raised in Long Beach – one of four children. Graduated from St. Anthony High School in 1948. Received BA in Philosophy from Loyola University in 1954. He entered Pilot Training in the U.S. Air Force in 1955. He married Edith Desmond, a native of Long Beach, in 1955.

They shared most of their lives together except for 1969, when Bob left Edith with seven children and one on the way, and went to fly and fight in Vietnam. One year, one baby, and 112 combat missions later, he returned never to be separated again.

Bob has a Masters Degree in Psychology/Guidance and Counseling (Useful in coping with their nine grandchildren).

Bob made a career of the Air Force and retired in 1985. He had tours in Texas, Alaska, Vietnam, and Europe. Bob is currently in the automotive transportation business.
