Larry Kent was born in Guam U.S.A. in 1961. He is married to Suzette Kent and has two daughters, Elizabeth (age 8) and Emily (age 6). He is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and Loyola Law School.

Larry Kent was a partner in a downtown Los Angeles litigation firm until 1998 when he opened his own practice in Long Beach, specializing in construction defect litigation. The Kent family has been a member of the Petroleum Club for approximately five years. The Kent family resides in Bixby Knolls.
